My Immortal

My life was never easy, but I wasn't one to break down and cry over every bit of bad news. My cousin Tito died. What happened was that he had a bump in his leg and he didn't want to go to the hospital. One day he was going to the store and he felt dizzy and fell out of his truck. He landed on his leg that had the bump. Then he got rushed to the hospital and that’s when the doctors found out. I didn't know exactly what happened but then, my mom, uncle, and grandmother came home and told me that my cousin was dead. What happened physically to my cousin was that I think he had a blood clot. I guess when he fell on it that made it serious. All I heard from him was “I can’t breathe, I feel like I'm running out of breath”. Those were the last words I heard from him. At the funeral, everyone was hysterical. My aunt almost jumped on top of the coffin when we went to the burial. My mom and all of my aunts sang songs for the funeral service. I felt like I was in a cartoon. Or I felt like I was in a movie, like daredevil. My immortal. I felt like I was a little girl on the other side of the screen watching it all like if it was a movie of my life. I got sick and tired of the people that are my friends and loved ones going through problems like deaths and I went crazy. People tell me that this is the real world and that this isn't a cartoon or movie. You can’t rewind or forward my life. My life is real and my cousin is dead. Every time I hear that the world will end, I think of the movies of the end of the world and I think of ways we will all die. I asked myself, will it hurt as much as my cousin died? Will I live to that day? Sometimes we ask ourselves these questions and when will we get answers? Well I got my answer. My cousin was in pain and I can’t take to be in the same pain as him. I learned that my life isn't a movie. It isn't a cartoon or song that “Barlow girl” sings. This is the real world, I just need to figure how to live with the fact that one day, I will feel the same pain as my cousin, but I'm just going to have to live with that . . . . . . . . . . . . . . R.I.P Tito.
